The Service Contract applies to parts and labor in respect of the product stated on the uBuy Service ContractCertificate for electrical and mechanical defects only and physical damage repairs if applicable.
The Service Contract extends the warranty for the period stated on the Service ContractCertificate (the “Term”) commencing on the date of expiration of the manufacturers initial warranty period as stated on the manufacturer’s initial guarantee or from the date of purchase in the event Customer opted in physical damage repairs.
1. The Accidental and Extended warranties are based upon the Primary/Manufacturer's warranty.
2. If you have a Manufacturer's warranty valid for a year or more you are eligible to buy/opt for the Accidental & Extended warranty programmes.
3. In case the Manufacturer's warranty is missing or less than a year than to opt for the Accidental or Extended warranty programmes
you need to buy the Primary/Extended warranty respectively, as applicable.
4. The Accidental warranty programme will be active from the day of purchase of the product once opted.
5. The Extended warranty will start once the Manufacturer's/Primary warranty ends.
WHAT IS COVERED:
Customers can get the product repaired from authorized service centers, free of cost to its normal operating condition after it has suffered a covered failure (due to a defect in material or workmanship) during normal use. The Service Contract covers the labor, parts and call-out charge necessary to repair the product subject to the exclusions listed below.
uBuy Service Contract also covers food damage loss that results from a mechanical, electronic or electrical component failure of a refrigerator or freezer up to forty(40) KWDper claim during the Service Contract term.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
uBuy shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to a person or property, direct, consequential or incidental damages arising from the use of or inability to use the product to the extent that law may disclaim such. The Service Contract does not cover any defects which are subject to a manufacturer’s recall or which are covered under a manufacturer’s program or reimbursement.
The Service Contract is only valid in the territory of GCC.
Should necessary spare parts for repair be subject to import restrictions of a country resulting in delay in repairs, there will be no liability on uBuy arising out of such delay.
In the event of theft, repossession, or fraud, or resale to another Party, the Service Contract will be cancelled by uBuy. Upon sale or transfer of ownership of the covered product, the Service Contract may be assigned to another Party by contacting the hotline number detailed on the Service ContractCertificate.
uBuy is entitled, at its sole discretion, to replace the product with the same or similar product rather than to repair the product after applying fair use depreciation. The retail value of the replacement will not exceed the purchase price that was actually paid by the customer. Once a warranted product has been replaced, the customer’s cover under the Service Contract will end immediately with no refund. Following such settlement the original defective product will become the property of uBuy. Any amount unpaid pursuant to the terms of the Service Contract at the time of replacement shall become due and payable to uBuy.
In the event that food is spoiled due to a covered breakdown of the product, uBuy will reimburse the Service Contract holder for such food spoilage up to a total of forty(40) KWDper incident provided the food spoilage has been verified and inspected within two (2) working days by the authorized repairer and properly documented.
LIMITS OF LIABILITY
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation of the Service Contract may be made by the purchaser (customer) within seven (7) days of the Service Contract application date for any reason by mailing or delivering to uBuy an advance notice of cancellation and the original uBuy Service Contract Certificate if applicable. Any cancellation requested by the purchaser (customer) during this seven (7) day period will be refunded at 100%.
uBuy may cancel the Service Contract by giving fourteen (14) days’ notice in writing to the customer’s last known address. uBuy will refund the purchaser (customer) an amount in respect of the remaining full months of warranty cover pro-rata to the original price of the cover.

The Service Contract is offered by uBuy. uBuy reserves the right to vary, modify or otherwise amend the terms and conditions stated herein according to its sole discretion.
What to do if your product breaks down:
Customer must report the problem to us immediately and within one (1) day.
Fraud: All benefits of the Service Contract are lost if a fraudulent declaration or claim is made.
